In 2021, it seems like we're all looking for a reason to celebrate, and a newborn is just about the best reason there is. This is the perfect time to put a little extra thought or effort into a baby shower gift or a push present. Sure, you can load them up on diapers and onesies, but some even better gifts are just as necessary and a little more special.

Top 10 Newborn Gifts for 2021

This year brings some challenges that weren't necessarily an issue before. With a heightened sense of safety and sanitation, baby gifts in 2021 have an interesting new angle. This is great if you love to be creative and thoughtful at the same time. Even better? We've come up with our list of 10 must-have gifts for babies (and their parents) this year.

Name Bubbles Labels
Personalized Name Labels are a must for the new parents. They're going to want to label everything because pretty soon, they'll realize how quickly things get lost when there are little ones involved. It seems impossible for a two-month-old to lose something, and yet, somehow, they do.

Our Baby Labels Pack can be customized with the baby's name and a cute design. There are styles for little girls and boys, and there are gender-neutral options. And have you seen how cute those Penguins are?

This is a gift most new parents won't even think of until they've lost a significant amount of stuff. But you know how to save the day, and our quality, reliable labels do just that!

Portable Changing Pad
Limit contact with foreign surfaces by giving them their portable changing pad to carry everywhere they go. There are so many different styles, colors, fabrics to choose from that you're sure to find just the right one. We do suggest looking for one that's easy to wipe down or spritz with sanitizer after use.

Reusable Breast Milk Storage Bags
This newborn gift certainly isn't the cutest, but it does win our approval for being so practical. Pair the storage bags with Write-On Labels, and they get significantly more adorable and functional. It's another way you can help the parents be prepared and organized, and they'll thank you for it.

Newborn Arrival Kit
Many baby showers were canceled in 2020 and the beginning of 2021, so parents might be low on the essentials. Creating a newborn arrival kit means they have exactly what they need at hand and don't have to run to the store to get it. The following are some items you might want to include in your kit, and we suggest "wrapping" the equipment in a reusable storage bin because that's way more useful than a cardboard box or a basket. Possible goodies include, but are not limited to:

• Diapers.
• Bottles.
• Baby skincare products.
• Sanitary wipes.
• Burp cloths.
• Onesies.
• Baby shampoo/baby wash.
• Socks and footies.
• No-scratch mittens.
• Extra receiving or swaddling blankets.
• A rattle or grasping toy.
• Bibs.
• Teethers or pacifier.

Convertible Stroller/Bike Trailer
It's a tried and true, classic baby gift with a modern twist. Walking has become a big part of the day for many people since COVID cut down on their time at the gym and doing other types of exercise. It's also a wonderful break when you're suffering from that "trapped inside" feeling. The best part about the convertible stroller is that you can push when you want to walk and pull when you want to bike. How cool is that?

A Meal Kit
Once upon a time, when someone had a baby, people made them casseroles and other meals they could freeze and pull out when they needed them. That tradition has faded into the past, but it's still an excellent idea. Today it's even easier. There are so many different home meal companies that deliver food right to their door. You can pick one that gives them fresh and healthy ingredients to prepare themselves, so they don't have to go to the store. Or you can really save them some time and select a prepared meals subscription.

New Mom, Dad, and Baby Box
Speaking of subscriptions, who doesn't love a monthly subscription box full of fun stuff you never knew you needed. Obviously, you can find multiple options for newborn subscription boxes and new parent subscriptions. Give them a gift that keeps giving each month, and they'll be reminded just how much you care. Not only that, but we love the idea of these boxes because they cut down on exposure by bringing cool stuff right to their door.

Entertainment Subscriptions
And the subscriptions keep getting better. What about those late-night feedings, hours of sitting in the house walking and rocking a little one, fewer opportunities to socialize and spend time with loved ones. What is a new parent to do? Well, if they have you for a friend, maybe they'll listen to the music subscription you gift them, a Kindle subscription will keep them up to date on the latest bestsellers, and a television subscription so they can binge-watch their favorite shows any time.

Personalized Baby Books
For many, reading to their children is a must, and it's a favorite part of the day. But imagine how much more meaningful that book will be to the parents when they see their baby's name in the story. Personalized storybooks used to be harder to come by, and they could be pricey. Today, they're so easy to find and can be customized in many different ways. We love this idea because it is an excellent start to a birthday tradition. Inspire a love of reading in little ones by giving them personalized books each year.

Photo Session Kit
This one you can pull together yourself and have as much fun as you want to do it. With limited in-person visits, new parents are taking to social media to show off their adorable little ones. So why not help and encourage them by getting them some cool props for photoshoots. The best ideas are ones you come up with that perfectly reflect the family, but we'll get you started with some ideas:

• Milestone age blocks.
• A light ring for just the right lighting.
• An Anne Geddes book or calendar for inspiration.
• A white erase board or chalkboard for writing cute phrases and keeping track of their age.
• Beach themed outfits.
• Sporting themed costumes.
• Adorable hats and beanies.
• A greenscreen cloth so they can create their own backdrops.
